My Life Preserver
I can solve a problem
even though I'm swimming
deep in uncertainly.
I gasp for breath
to find a factor,
a multiple, or a square root.
Is it prime?
Is it composite?
Do I add, multiply, or divide?
But I will not drown
because I have a life preserver.
My teacher will reach down in the
nick of timeand help me rescue myself.
