Good Evening Again My Few Friends Out There Somewhere,
So mother caught me "cat" napping last night. What does she do? She wakes me up just to show me a picture of myself.  To say the least, I was not amused, so I hauled off and bit her in the elbow.   A girl needs her beauty rest, and you can tell from her snapshot that she just hasn't quite figured that out yet.  Jump to three hours later.  I thought I'd do the same to the "old gal," so I grabbed the camera and snapped a  picture of her.  Look closely!  She is sound asleep with a big smile on her face.  She must be dreaming of the days when Skiddles  grew on trees.  What's so funny is that she tells everyone she has chronic insomnia--yeah right, mother!  One last thing, she was snoring like a big dog!  She had the neighborhood dogs howling to high heaven!  That's my mother!  I love her!  I think I'll keep her!

Me just taking a little "cat" nap.

C.S. Lewis Quote

C. S. Lewis
We read to know that we are not alone-C. S. Lewis

Fly on the Wall

Peterm Housefly Clip Art
Fly on the Wall
If you dare
fly on the wall
and soar beyond
the corners.

Don't fret,
for if you fall
to the floor,
it's not a long
drop at all.

Get up.
Dust off
your wings,
and do it again.
Fly off the wall
pesky little house fly,
Fly on the wall,
and soar beyond the corners.
If you dare.

My Life Preserver

My Life Preserver
My Life Preserver

I can solve a problem
even though I'm swimming
deep in uncertainly.

I gasp for breath
to find a factor,
a multiple,  or a square root.

Is it prime?
Is it composite?
Do I add, multiply, or divide?

But I will not drown
because I have a life preserver.
My teacher will reach down in the
nick of time
and help me rescue myself.

The Hadley Chronicles-A Canine's Formula For Success in School

A Canine's Surefire Formula For Success in  School

Good Evening Friends,

Yet, another day is slipping to an end.  I'm thinking about how canine school is just like the real school where my mother teaches.  What is the secret for success in any school? Hmmm....let me think.
I have it.

*Be at school each day. Wag your tail and smile.
*Arrive on time.  Teachers will praise you.
*Have all your materials ready.  Put all your chew toys in the right places.
*Listen in class with both ears.  Keep those ears perked!
*Respect your teachers and your classmates.  Your teachers will pat you on the back and say, "Good boy or good girl," depending on whether you're a boy or a girl.
*Give your teachers compliments.  You'll have them eating out of your hands.
*Do your homework!  Whatever you do, DON'T go to  school and say, "My dog ate my homework," because if you do, you'll get sent to the doghouse.

The Hadley Chronicles

So my mother doesn't come rolling into the house until about 5:30.  Here I am, a 4 month old baby, left alone.  I'm yammering and stomping before she even leaves the house this morning.  I'm not even understanding where she goes everyday.  All I know is that when she does get home she has a tired. worn out look on her face, and she's limping like she's 50 or something.  So what do I do? I attack her.  All I can see are her pants legs so I start biting.  She's trying to get me off her legs, yelling, "Hadley, stop it, stop it," but I don't plan to stop until she decides to stop leaving me.  Last night, I chewed on her, the computer, the vitamin bottles...anything to get her attention.  I will get her attention.  Don't underestimate me.  I'm a girl.  I'm a Schnauzer, and I'm determined.
